Painted to challenge myself in working larger.
Madeline is name of the bee featured.

Began this project by using student-grade acrylic, but other grades of acrylics and arylic blends were used. Oil paints were added after to try and blend in certain areas better.
As somebody still new to acrylics and using them in realism or more realistic styles, I failed to paint the bee fuzz properly and didn't get a lot of value in the piece.

Inspired by the enjoyable concept of making something very small very big.
